• Description: Heris Combined Cycle Power Plant will be constructed & commissioned with 500 MW capacity nominally. The project consists of one 3A-F class gas Turbine (310 MW) from Ansaldo Energia Company (Italy) & one MT15 steam turbine (180 MW). Nominal Efficiency will be 58% in ISO condition (the highest level of efficiency among CCPP projects in Iran).

  The first phase of Heris Combined Cycle Power Plant opened in East Azerbaijan Province.

In the ceremony that was held on Thursday August 1st 2019, during Dr Hassan Rouhani's visit to the province, the President visited different parts of the power plant and was briefed by the projects managers on the potentials of the complex.
This power plant is breaking the record of Iranin power generation efficiency by 58.32 %.
The power plant is capable of creating 1000 direct jobs and 3000 indirect jobs. At the time of operation, over 150 people will be working in it.
